Avin Shah is an award-winning writer and actor. As an actor, his career has spanned over 25 years appearing in feature films, TV, radio, theatre (including National Theatre and Royal Shakespeare Company), plus voice and motion capture in VR and video games (including Assassins Creed). As a scriptwriter, he won Best Radio Drama at the 2022 UK Writers’ Guild Awards and co-wrote BBC’s First World War series ‘Tommies’. He currently writes for BBC Radio’s The Archers. He founded VR production company Strictly Immersive in 2021. He’s since become a pioneer in harnessing motion-capture techniques to create avatar animation in VR and has just produced a VR interactive play for Meta Quest headset, ‘This is Your Country Too’. Currently touring the UK libraries and cinemas, it’s a story-game about being stuck in airport immigration: The Terminal meets Groundhog Day.
