Saskia began fencing at nine to “beat her school bully” and continued training on and off for the next decade in the UK and Europe. She can still wield a sword, if provoked.
She entered motion capture by chance when her sister, a VFX game design student, needed someone to wear “the funny suit.” Saskia’s background in dance and sport quickly led to work on student shorts and technical demos at Centroid and Pinewood.
She studied Dance & Drama at Royal Holloway and Acting at GSA, alongside additional combat training. She began formal training in motion and performance capture shortly before COVID, and continued her professional development during lockdown with online training in voice-over and performance capture.
She later went on to train in Performance Capture, Firearms, and Creature Arm Extension work, and has worked on demos and technical shoots at Centroid as both a performer and camera operator. Her online postings and enthusiasm for performing in games and animation led to her motion capture work on Love, Death & Robots.
Since then, further opportunities have followed, and she ended 2025 working on two major, yet-to-be-announced projects.
